CARROM QUESTIONS
What is Carrom ?
Carrom is a board game for 2-4 players. It is played on a square wooden board with pockets in the corners. As with pool and snooker the object of the game is to pocket all your pieces before your opponent can pocket his. However instead of using balls on a felt surface, pieces, identical to draught pieces, are ‘flicked’ with the player’s finger. It is similar to marbles. The boards have a beautiful handpainted medallion in the middle where you set up the carrom pieces and there are also guide lines for positioning the striker.
Where can I play Carrom ?
The beauty of Carrom is that it can be played virtually anywhere, players can be any age and have any level of expertise. It can be as jolly as you like or as serious and competative as any snooker playoff. And unlike snooker, when not being played it can be stored without taking up any room.
Or hung on the wall and displayed as a piece of art. The boards have a beautiful handpainted medallion in the centre.
Carrom can be played inside or outside.
Play it with friends and family in the garden as a change from Monopoly, Scrabble etc. Give the kids a game before bed.
You can make new friends at the many carrom ‘nights’ we have organized for people to meet and play each other.

How do I look after my Board ?
Carromboards are easy to maintain and if looked after properly you will get many years of enjoyment out of them. To clean the boards simply wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Storing the board is just as easy. Leave it behind the sofa, in a cupboard and many people hang one on their wall instead of a picture!
Why is my board slowing down ?
It is a good idea to powder the board before a game. It may not be necessary to powder the board before every game but doing so will ensure a smoother, faster game. The Carrom powder does not stain but if you do get it on clothing a damp cloth will soon remove it. The more you use your board the smoother the movement becomes.
