The Ancient game of “Carrom”

THE ANCIENT GAME OF ‘CARROM’

(From which snooker, 8-ball, pool and billiards are all derived) is spreading like wildfire to the western hemisphere. This is a game of pure skill and strategy.

Due to the cheapness of travel to the Orient and Africa many holidaymakers have been intrigued by this game, however have been unable, due to airline restrictions, to bring a game board back.

By word of mouth thousands of boards have been sold which are used ’socially’ in the UK, often by schools, youth groups, pubs, clubs and the general public.

Although there have been minor competitions over the last few years, the Carrom Association’s has changed this fact and presented the first Major UK National Competition in time for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Year @ the famous Old Spitalfields Market on Sunday 8th September 2002.

The 2003 British Open Carrom Competition was held on the 11th of October 2003.
